Our goal at Mid Carolina Cardiology (MCC) is to provide not only a remarkable patient experience but also exceptional outcomes.   With this in mind, MCC began using an electronic medical record (EMR) in 1999.  The ability to track and query data from our entire patient population, across multiple offices, facilitates the delivery of guideline based medical practice.   Information from our EMR allows MCC to continuously analyze and adjust the delivery of care.

The ability to deliver ideal care in an outpatient setting will always be a challenge as patient compliance is a significant component of success.  MCC works to educate patients on the importance of their role in disease prevention and management, and encourages patients to take ownership of their health.

Patients also benefit from our use of the EMR.  It allows us to further identify those patients that may benefit from one of the many leading-edge research trials in which the group is currently participating.
